Organic coating systems make steel the all-rounder among building materials. The basis for our products of the PLADUR® series is hot-dipped steel strip to which- depending on the application - layers of polyvinyl fluoride or polyester lacquer a few micrometers thick are applied. For especially robust surfaces, some products are given a protective foil as well.
The coating of strip with organic materials provides solutions that precisely answer the requirements in question - e.g., the high hygienic standards in the food industry or the tight emission limits in the clean-room area. In addition, the use of lacquers creates unlimited free space for design. Steel structural elements with PLADUR® coatings meet Corrosion Protection Class III for outdoor use and Corrosion Protection Class II of DIN 55928-8 for indoor use.
